Nike 10k - London Human Race Rip Off!

image

Just had a mail asking me to sign up!

It costs £30!!!

That’s about the same as the London Marathon for just a 10k.

Pro-rata that’s £126 :-(

They maybe donating £3 to charities but with all the cross-selling going on on their site it makes me very uncomfortable.

It’s obviously become a huge earner for them and far to high a price to pay for your average runner.

I’ll run around Richmond Park that day for nothing!

Try running any race for The Stroke Association and they will be happy to support you!

Nike aren’t making any direct profit from the race AFAIK. There’s a unique T-shirt in the member pack for runners. Also, you can run round Richmond park and be in the race remotely using Nike+ kit and raise money on their site if the 30 quid breaks your bank…
